Cancellation & Returns Policy

Cancellation Policy:


You can cancel your order within six hours of placing it after which we will process your order for shipping. Please send us an email from our Contact Form to cancel your order providing all the necessary details (Your name & Order ID).

Once your order has been processed and has left our warehouse, you will receive an SMS and email notifying you of the same. Unfortunately, an order cannot be canceled once the item has been processed and shipped to you.

 


Return Policy:


We love to get it right for you, every single time you trust us with your purchase. We want you to have an absolutely headache-free shopping experience. We assure you that all products sold are new and freshly packed.

 

  • For Food Products:

We personally check all the items that are packages for shipping and ensure proper packaging of each order using the latest standards in e-commerce packaging. As most of our products are perishable, all food sales are final. However, we will be happy to replace any food/perishable item(s) in the unlikely event that they might reach you damaged or leaking. Unfortunately, how packages are handled during transit is out of our hands. To make sure that you are satisfied with the product you receive, please inspect the contents as soon as your order arrives. 


Though we are not responsible for damage to a product during shipping, we value our customers and are willing to provide a replacement for food products. In case the food product you have received is damaged, send us photographs of the damaged product within 3 days of receiving the package to shop@thenortheaststore.com and we will replace the item for you at no additional cost.

 

  • Other Non-Perishable Products (Handloom and Handicraft):

We do not offer replacements or refunds for any non-perishable products that are sold. Do note that all handloom and handicraft products are handmade and as such some pieces may not match the product pictures that you see exactly. The North East Store is not responsible for damage or loss as a result of shipments being returned to the freight location or being undeliverable as a result of incorrect address information you supply to us, or for the inability of a recipient to receive the package on the day of delivery.


We wish we could assure proper handling and prompt receipt of packages once they have been delivered to the correct mailing address by our logistics provider, but this, of course, is out of our control. To enjoy the full flavor and freshness of our products, we urge you to make the necessary arrangements beforehand.


Shipping/handling charges are not refundable.
