Jadoh is a rice-based Khasi delicacy from Meghalaya.

Ingredients:

  • Oil Ginger paste
  • Onion
  • Lakadong Turmeric ( buy here )
  • Plain rice or Red sticky rice ( buy here )
  • Bay leaf ( buy here )


  • Methods
    :
  • Heat oil in a vessel.
  • Add the onions, ginger paste, turmeric, and black pepper and fry till the mixture turns brown.
  • Add bay leaves/powder and immediately drop in the pan.
  • Add the pork pieces and fry until they turn light brown (optional )
  • Add the washed rice and fry for 2-3 minutes Add salt.
  • Add 4 cups of water and let it simmer till it gets cooked.
  • Keep stirring.
  • Garnish it with coriander and serve.
